Cancellation and Refund Policy
1. Deposit and Payment Obligations:
- A non-refundable deposit constituting 50% of the total order cost is required to initiate any lens rehousing service.
- Certain services, including but not limited to optical block removal and customized design fees, are deemed non-refundable under any circumstances.
2. Cancellation Rights and Obligations:
- Customers reserve the right to cancel their order within a period of two months from the date of deposit.
- Upon such cancellation, a fee equivalent to 3% of the deposited amount will be imposed, in addition to any transaction, exchange, and bank transfer fees incurred.
- Post the lapse of two months from the deposit date, the right to cancel the order shall be forfeited, except under special circumstances. These include war, permanent disability, or the death of the client, as well as any event constituting a force majeure.
- A force majeure event refers to any extraordinary event or circumstance beyond the control of both parties, such as a natural disaster, pandemic, act of terrorism, governmental action, or any other event which could not be foreseen or, if it could be foreseen, was unavoidable. Such events relieve both parties from fulfilling their contractual obligations during the period of disruption caused by the force majeure event.
- In cases where the force majeure condition persists, the customer may request the cancellation of the order. The decision to cancel under these circumstances will be at the discretion of TK LENSES, taking into account the specifics of the situation and the extent of the impact caused by the force majeure event.
3. Refund Protocol:
- Refunds, where applicable, shall be remitted exclusively through bank transfer.
- The refunded amount shall constitute the original deposit less any cancellation fee, transaction, exchange, and bank transfer fees.
- TK LENSES will process eligible refunds within a period of 60 days following the approval of the cancellation request.
- Post the aforementioned two-month period, no refunds shall be processed except under the special circumstances outlined in Section 2.
4. Return and Shipping of Lenses:
- In the event of a cancellation where the client’s lenses are in the custody of TK LENSES, said lenses will be returned.
- The costs associated with the shipping and handling of the returned lenses shall be borne by the client and deducted from the deposit.
